Buffalo

Went to Wyoming last year, spent a week painting with Gil Dillinger, and Jean LeGassick.
Driving around , we saw a whole herd of buffalo come down a hill, and cross the road in front of us.
It was so incredible.  We spent a couple hours just watching them.
At the end of the group, came the big males, and they were definitely in charge.
They were grunting and setting the pace.

Wyoming Mountains

below is a photo taken of same site where I painted.  This is a good case for why you don't use photos to paint.
As you can see, the photo only picks up a smidgeon of the colors that you can see with your eyes.

I put the path in, artists prerogative to do, as there was too much green for my taste.

Leslie

For July 3rd, while at my friends yearly party.  I had the privilege to paint her sister.
She was an awesome model.  Sat for me on the 3rd and then we finished on the 4th of July!

Old Tractor

Trip to Wyoming last year, and we spent a day on a Ranch.  Arranged by someone in our group.
I just love old tractors.

This is me

My photo
Nevada, United States
My whole life I have had a passion and love of drawing. Now that my boys are grown I have more time to spend on drawing and painting. I work mostly from life, but use photos when necessary. My favorite media is oil painting and occasionally drawing. People are my favorite subjects to draw or paint. Nothing is more captivating than peoples faces and nothing more enjoyable than to find an interesting subject to draw or paint, and a glass of wine to enjoy while painting! I have Studied drawing and painting at Sierra College, Lake Tahoe Community College and also Sierra Nevada College. Currently I am enjoying weekly plein-air paint-outs with the Tahoe Art League. I hope you enjoy looking at my art and I want to thank you for taking the time. I appreciate any comments that you leave. e-mail me at cadredlt@gmail.com
